JOIN IN THE EFFORT 

Position your farming operation as an active and visible partner in creating a better life for the people of north central Iowa.  A small gift of corn or soybeans can go a long way in funding organizations that help to enhance the Education, Income, and Health of those in need in your community.

We hope to provide a convenient donation effort as you can donate grain while carrying on with your everyday duties; while connecting you with the community you live, work, and raise your families in.

We understand the fall is a busy time for farmers, however; it's vital to give the entire community an opportunity to be a part of our work.  It is our goal to create an easy opportunity for our farmers to give back to their communities. 

It's SIMPLE.

• The farmer must make a charitable "donation", giving up "dominion and control" of the asset.
• The proceeds must be reported as a cash sale with a subsequent cash donation.
• A warehouse receipt showing the United Way of North Central Iowa as the owner should be executed, then the elevator/coop will call United Way to make notification of the sale.
• United Way will then order the sale of the property.  The original sales invoice will show United Way as the seller.
• In order to receive tax benefits, please communicate your contact information and United Way will mail your tax documentation.
